What would happen to the mountains without water? They would turn into deserts, devoid of life and vegetation. But there are very few mountains without water on our planet. They take care of this themselves, creating their life’s element and taking water directly from the sky by entrapping the clouds around them.

This water then collects on the flanks of the mountains, where it turns from rivulets into rivers, that flow out into the oceans. Mountains and water are symbiotic, a cycle that keeps life on earth going. Mountain streams slowly move along meadows before, only moments later, turning into the spray of waterfalls or small mystic lakes. What kind of life can be found in and around this mysterious cosmos?

We will investigate the world of the rare Danube salmon and be there to see the Danube bleak spawn. We will follow giant wels catfish into their hideouts, see great crested grebes on their underwater hunting. We go diving under the ice of frozen mountain streams and lakes, discovering life where none was thought possible.

Documentaries like these just make me appreciate how amazing the world we live in is and how much bigger it is than we experience. Also I’m glad they go over a lot more animals than are usually seen in a nature documentary.

At a time when there’s so much bad news and misery in the world, watching a wonderful documentary like this just proves what a beautiful planet we live on. The joy of nature has no bounds. Absolutely spellbinding

My goodness I can’t take my eyes from this documentary, the footages and audio are soooo sooo well done! This is such a gorgeous work!!! One of the best on Earth so far!! Love it so much!! Thanks for this super creative work!

Great documentary. Imagine the amount of work and dedication in producing it. Thank you.

Nothing is more satisfying than nature. A very well made documentary. Loved it.

this was pretty amazing, and stunning footage images . Very fresh and free from the need to speculate on theories about origin which usually distract. It was very centered on the facts and described it realistically, poetically and esthetically. It was like good food. Make you crave for more. Truly wonderful, informative and inspiring!

Thank you for bringing this wonderful masterpiece to us, seriously, there is no word to describe the beauty of this document, just hope one day I and my family could visit the place, it just like heaven on earth to me, really love this and hope people there will forever keep the place unharmed and untouched. FOREVER LOVE TO THE PLACE :))).

I couldn’t take my eyes off this…so magical and enchanting. I am a fish hobbyist and it’s so cool to see how fish live in the wild.

Nature is a gift, and this documentary shows that, but I wish it wasn’t so romanticized. The wide shots, dream-like music and editing show nature as some kind of eternal structure, when in fact the alpine stream often lays off the side of a major highway and is polluted to the point where industrial equipment would be needed to clean it out. Nature is fragile, not eternal. But I’m a critic, maybe this sleepy sequence will inspire people to get outside and see the damage for themselves.

Great video!!! Such vivid colors above and below the water. Please make more. Wonderfully done!!!

What I’d give to live in nature. I know it’s tough, I lived it as a kid but it’s forever a longing in my heart.

Someone please tell me where this was filmed? Alpines are my all time favorite locations in the world, and this is the most beautiful alpine region I’ve ever seen!

As a freshwater aquarium hobbyist I appreciate this documentary.

Thank you for the upload, I really enjoyed and appreciated what you all accomplished with this documentary.

Love how these documentaries don’t just cover the same dozen or so species over and over.

Seeing this makes me miss my childhood home used to have a quarter mile driveway back in the woods absolutely beautiful watching the storms roll over the mountains and up the valley

All streams and rivers are the key of all life especially All the way down the stream on into estuaries of brackish water and on in to the sea. Considering the whole water cycle is the key to all life starting from the mountain on down through streams and rivers and on into the sea. Flowing through all environments thus creating countless ecosystems and habitats…
