Most liked comments about the videoFirst time that Netflix is not passing 25 year old men as teenagers ..this looks authentic and refreshing
Those 2 seconds with the cereal means so much . We normally talk about young adult LGBT representation while that’s important but those 2 seconds speaks volumes because the representation of an eating disorder specifically anorexia in the comics is probably the best I’ve ever seen . I can see that the show is going to do that .
The way he shyly laughed ‘Thank you’ just had me straight in the feels. Also the ‘Token straight friend’ thing is funny. It’s sounds like something my friends would say.
I don’t think I can express how much this story means to me. I’ve been reading heartstopper for years and to finally be able to watch it come to life makes me beyond happy. The cast and trailer look amazing and I can’t wait to experience this all over again 💕
I can’t stop crying. I’ve been waiting for so long. LGBTQ community doesn’t get enough “mainstream” representation. We are shown either as a horny side comdey or side character. This enables us…me…to believe that yes, our representatives are valid, that we are valid. This is so beautiful ❤️❤️❤️❤️
the rain scene, it is so many similarities with the book, it is refreshing to see young actors playing youth roles, it gives me so much emotion and nostalgia after seeing the 4 volumes of the graphic novel, it’s fascinating to finally see something new and exciting
I’m really excited for this. The comic does a very good job at showing a healthy relationship (spoilers) and they work their way through some codependency issues. That is something almost no one EVER shows or talks about and is the reason a lot of people break up. Showing how to address these issues as well as mental health ( I’m “happy” they have a male character going through an eating disorder to show that it isn’t only girls, while I feel for the character I’m glad it’s represented as it will help guys tell people about the disorder). This is something I really hope does well
This looks INCREDIBLE!! The fact that they chose real teens to act in this makes me so proud. It makes me so proud to know that I live in an era where LGBT series/movies are coming out in such a big number and they get so much hype. I get this vibe that it’s gonna be my fav Bl along Young Royals❤
And I love the webtoon <3
Found out the actress playing Elle is actually trans and I’m so freaking excited!! Props to casting for doing this right, all of their character choices seem spot on, I can’t wait to watch this
