As someone who has ALWAYS valued the feelings of others over mine, I had a hard time with finding my worth and dignity. These past few months have taught me that it’s not good to put on a constant selfless show. We need to check in with ourselves from time to time. A lot of people say that maturity = selflessness. I agree that at times, we have to be selfless to be the bigger person but not ALL THE TIME. To me, maturity is realizing that it’s perfectly okay to be selfish for ourselves. If you are reading this, please don’t forget to prioritize and LOVE yourself. You are worth more than that <3
