I’ve missed Mike Meyers. I don’t even care if this isn’t that good, I’m just glad he’s back.

Doesn’t matter if this show ends up being good or not Netflix can’t afford these production costs for 2 seasons

Finally something I don’t mind my subscription paying for.

I adore Mike Myers, he made so much of my childhood and I’m totally watching this. Hope it’s a hit for Mike ❤

I’ll be honest this looks bad, but I really missed Mike Meyers so I won’t complain glad he is back

A Netflix series based on a single scene from an obscure, early 90s romcom. I kind of wish it would center around Anthony Lapaglia’s character Tony as now being with the FBI, and uncovering a plot involving some mysterious group called The Pentavarate. Vaguely recalling a fleeting conversation from nearly 30 years before, he visits the home of old friends Charlie and Harriet McKenzie, reprised in their roles by Myers and Nancy Travis. Charlie opens the door, with a happy, “Tony?!” greeting, but a stern faced Tony, who is all business replies, “I need everything Stuart had on The Pentavarate”.

I’d assume an ongoing plot of hijinks and shenanigans, as the inner workings of the group become known. Perhaps, as a side plot, they reject an application for membership from Elon Musk, who, by the final episode, has now bought The Meadows and turned it into a weekend retreat for overworked business executives, charging $420 for admission.

Of course, Charlie and Harriet, despite their initial resistance, get pulled into the plot. Ultimately, they are only able to bring down the group with help of Rose, who has been released from the insane asylum for good behavior (she’s been making the other inmates breakfast of silver-dollar pancakes, fresh-squeezed orange juice, bacon, and Kona coffee).

Post credit scene on the season finale. The camera pans up from Earth’s stratosphere and into space. An orbiting station comes into view, and the camera zooms in. The camera takes us through corridors, where an assortment of scientists and soldiers can be seen moving about. We come to a double door, which slides open as the camera approaches. At the other end of the room is a raised platform, adorned with wires, lights and other electronic equipment. Atop the platform is a large, inverted glass container. Within the container is a severed head, eyes closed. As the camera moves closer, the head’s wee, beady eyes open. It’s Colonel Sanders! Looking into the camera, the Colonel speaks, in his slow drawl, “I will avenge the Pentavarate! The McKenzies must die!”

This looks like oldschool Netflix: niche, creative, different 👍🏼
