I was myself one of the boat people. It took me and my boat mates to escape Viet Nam a full stormy night to reach the ocean. We must depart like so to avoid the communist police’ eyes and informants. We sailed through the ocean of storm, hunger, and Thai pirates. Our boat was robbed, our women were raped, and our boat were damaged to sink by the Thai pirate…. Compared to what we went through to get to Malaysia, this movie was full of fakes. People who made this movie knew nothing about the journey the boat people went through…
