what i liked in this trailer is that they showed this character not getting along at first but then being more close then “sisters” . This is what we need in this world, COMMUNICATION
As a Rwandese I’m so excited to see this movie, many people don’t really know much about the Rwanese genocide so I’m glad they are making movies about it.
It doesn’t matter where you live, how much money you have, what you do… grief always brings people together.
I heard Immaculee speak several years ago. Such a powerful talk, she is such a beautiful soul. Opened my eyes that we need to realize what is going on in the world.
Netflix bought the rights to the film, seems to have been a good choice since it’s garnered some critical acclaim. Looking forward to watching it.

Year after year the anniversary of the Rwanda massacre passes, very little is ever said about it. We never acknowledge how the world did nothing as this occurred. And since 1994( not to mention the past Armenian, The Holocaust, Cambodia) and today these genocides still occur and everytime we allow it?
I read this book a couple of years ago in high school. My sister gave it to me and i read right through it in one sitting…. I do not remember there being a white woman.
