Accounts Payable

Accounts Payable (AP) are obligations to suppliers for goods or services delivered and invoiced that the company expects to pay in the near term. AP appears as a current liability on the balance sheet and represents short-term obligations to vendors.

Example: Example: A company receives an invoice from a supplier for $25,000 and records it as Accounts Payable until payment is issued.
