Availability Cascade

An availability cascade is a social process by which a belief or claim gains apparent credibility as it is repeated across media and conversations, often despite weak or absent supporting evidence. The spread of the claim increases perceived plausibility through repetition and social discussion.

Example: Example: A company is rumored to have won regulatory approval for a product; as multiple outlets repeat the claim, investors begin to adjust valuations even before any official confirmation.
