Conservatism Bias
Conservatism bias is a cognitive bias in which individuals underweight new evidence and update beliefs slowly after new information is received, leading to persistence of prior conclusions.
Example: An analyst continues to revise a revenue forecast slowly after a quarterly miss, giving limited weight to the new information and maintaining the initial estimate for longer than typical.
