Creation Unit
A creation unit is the standard block of ETF shares that Authorized Participants use to create or redeem ETF shares in exchange for a basket of securities and cash.
Example: An Authorized Participant delivers the specified basket of securities to the ETF sponsor and receives a fixed number of Creation Units, which are then used to populate the market with ETF shares.
