Cup and Handle is a technical chart pattern consisting of a rounded cup shape followed by a short pullback or 'handle,' generally regarded as a continuation pattern in technical analysis.
Example: In a price chart, prices form a rounded bottom over several weeks to months, then rise toward the prior high and enter a shallow handle; the next move above the rim with stronger volume completes the pattern.
