Debt Financing

Debt financing is the method by which a company raises capital by borrowing funds that must be repaid, usually with interest, rather than by issuing equity.

Example: Company ABC issued $300 million of 7-year senior notes to finance a new manufacturing facility. The notes include scheduled interest payments and a principal repayment at maturity, with covenants that constrain certain business activities.
