Decentralized Finance (DeFi)
Decentralized Finance (DeFi) refers to financial services built on blockchain networks that use programmable smart contracts to enable activities such as lending, borrowing, exchanging, and earning interest without relying on traditional intermediaries.
Example: A user interacts with a DeFi lending protocol to deposit tokens and earn interest, then uses a DEX to swap a portion of their holdings, all without involving a traditional bank.
