Labor Force Participation Rate
Labor Force Participation Rate (LFPR) is the share of the civilian noninstitutional population age 16 and over that is either employed or actively seeking work. It is calculated as (labor force / population age 16 and over) × 100.
Example: In the latest report, the LFPR for workers aged 25-54 rose modestly, while the overall LFPR declined slightly due to aging demographics and higher retirements.
