Latency Arbitrage

Latency arbitrage is a market microstructure phenomenon in which traders seek to profit from ultra-fast information and execution speeds that let them trade on price information before it is fully reflected across all trading venues.

Example: A latency arbitrageur sees a price quote on Exchange A that lags a related move from Exchange B and executes a trade on A before the quote catches up.
