A pennant is a short-term technical analysis continuation pattern formed after a sharp price move. It is characterized by converging trendlines that create a small triangle and a brief period of consolidation before the prior move continues.
Example: After a rapid rise, the price forms a pennant and then breaks out in the same direction as the initial move.
