Pivot Points

Pivot points are a set of calculated levels used in technical analysis to identify potential intraday support and resistance derived from the previous period's high, low, and close.

Example: On a stock chart, the prior day's high, low, and close are used to compute the pivot point and related R/S levels; during the session, price may interact with these lines as a guide for potential intraday price action.
