Ulcer Index (UI) is a risk metric that quantifies the depth and duration of price drawdowns from a peak by taking the square root of the average squared drawdown over a specified period.
Example: Over the same period, Fund A has an Ulcer Index of 0.9 while Fund B reports 2.3, indicating Fund B experienced deeper and longer drawdowns from its peaks.
