Yield Curve
The yield curve is a graph that plots the yields of bonds with the same credit quality across a range of maturities at a given point in time, typically using U.S. Treasury securities. It shows how longer-term yields compare with shorter-term yields.
Example: On a given date, yields for 2-year, 5-year, 10-year, and 30-year Treasuries might be 4.0%, 4.2%, 4.5%, and 4.7%, respectively, illustrating a typically upward-sloping curve.
