Yield

Yield is the annualized return earned from a fixed‑income security, expressed as a percentage of its price or par value. In fixed income, yield can refer to several measures that estimate return under different assumptions, such as current yield, yield to maturity, and yield to call.

Example: A 10-year bond with a 5% coupon is currently priced at 95, and its yield to maturity is about 6.0%.
