Symmetrical Triangle

A symmetrical triangle is a chart pattern formed by two converging trendlines, one connecting lower highs and one connecting higher lows, signaling price consolidation. The breakout direction is not predetermined and can occur in either direction.

Example: On a daily chart, price forms a symmetrical triangle over several weeks, with lower highs and higher lows converging toward a point, followed by a breakout beyond the trendlines.
