J.J.’s home life was one issue (though he had a caring mother and a stepfather who turned out to be testing him more or less with tough love) but once Jennifer Tilly was conspiring against him, the deck was drastically stacked in the negative.. Tough too that he had his ex druggie pal breathing down his neck to make good on old debts even if it meant dealing; sometimes the only way someone stands a true shot at reforming a broken life is to get away from all past harmful influences, and unfortunately that’s not always possible for most people. When it seemed even the doctor had turned against him, I almost gave up myself!
